Citizens' opinion: "The full weight of the law should fall on those involved in the SENASA embezzlement."

Santo Domingo.– The Public Ministry presented a file of more than 537 pages detailing how a multimillion-dollar embezzlement would have been executed within the National Health Insurance (SENASA) between 2020 and 2025, during the management of the then director Santiago Hazim Albainy.

De Último Minuto conducted a tour of different areas of the National District to learn the opinion of citizens about this corruption scheme that would have operated in the National Health Insurance and obtained more than RD$15 billion pesos from the public treasury.

“The full weight of the law must fall on all those involved for playing with the people's health,” expressed Enrique, one of the interviewees.

Another citizen highlighted that those responsible should not only pay with jail time, but also return what was stolen. "That is money from the people's health that they are taking away. In that sense, they should be stripped of what they stole and all their assets", said Carlos Molina.
