Santo Domingo. – The mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, highlighted the council's commitment to the preservation and promotion of cultural traditions that strengthen the identity of the capital's residents and the entire country.
"A tradition that we at the City Hall have cherished and promoted, and in which we put more effort each year to learn and turn it into memorable experiences for everyone," Mejía highlighted.
The Mayor stated that the capital dresses up each year with the color, energy, and human warmth that characterizes Dominicans, to celebrate the culture and guaranteed an organization up to the occasion to create an unforgettable experience for the public.

In other news, the official underscored the importance of the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, which will be held in Santo Domingo from July 24 to August 8, 2026.
