Santiago.- Dominican merengue singer Héctor Acosta expressed his satisfaction and gratitude after receiving a recognition medal during the Cibao Nominees Meeting for the Soberano Awards 2026, an activity that brought together figures from art and entertainment in this city who are competing for the highest award in Dominican entertainment.
The interpreter stated that this type of recognition represents a blessing and an encouragement to continue working in music, highlighting that his career has been the result of effort, perseverance, and the prayers of those who support him.
"Happy, always grateful. Our work is a blessing. Many people have knelt and prayed for me, and that is reflected in every achievement," expressed the artist, who also said he remains hopeful of winning at the next awards gala.
Acosta is nominated in the Merengue of the Year category for the song “Se Puede”, a composition by the author Neldon de la Olla, a song that has been well-received by the public.
