The National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE) agreed with validated textile and footwear suppliers to expedite the delivery of school supplies to students in the national public sector who use the official uniform of the Ministry of Education.

The institution indicated that to meet the goal, it has established extraordinary workdays until the total delivery of the kits is completed.

These measures were taken after being consulted with the governing bodies: the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP) and the Comptroller General of the Republic, to ensure due process.

The Executive Directorate assured that its current priority is to complete the delivery of clothing to the school population that has not yet received it or has received it incomplete because some contracts from previous processes were canceled by order of the Directorate of Public Contracting.

Accepts resolutions from the DGCP

After the two latest resolutions of the DGCP annulling several awards for backpacks, polo shirts and pants were announced, INABIE will duly accept the decisions adopted by the governing body of public procurement and guaranteed transparency in the process.

Delivery Status

INABIE has distributed more than 986,477 school kits in 3,483 educational centers in the country, which corresponds to 57% of the population to benefit.

The INABIE reiterated that the delivery of school supplies will continue even after the start of teaching, until the coverage is completed in all educational centers that use the official uniform, ensuring the correct distribution of resources and supporting school permanence.
