Investigation points to possible US missile in attack that left more than 160 dead in Iranian school

A new investigation based on satellite images and videos analyzed by experts suggests that a US missile may have hit a complex in southern Iran, near a school where an explosion left at least 165 people dead.

The incident occurred on February 28 in the city of Minab, in the province of Hormozgan, during the first bombings recorded in the conflict between Iran and the alliance formed by the United States and Israel. The affected school was located next to facilities linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which was apparently the target of the attacks.

According to specialists who examined the visual material and the damage recorded at the site, the pattern of destruction matches the impact of guided munitions used in high-precision air strikes.

An American official cited by investigators indicated that the bombing was likely carried out by United States forces, although the Pentagon noted that the incident is still under investigation and assured that the US military does not target civilian facilities.

Rec

Iranian authorities blamed the United States and Israel for the attack, while international organizations have called for an independent investigation to clarify the facts and determine possible responsibilities.

The attack has generated strong international criticism because the majority of the victims were students and staff of the educational institution.
