Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET), forecast that for today, the country will continue under the effects of the east/northeast wind over the country, therefore, some weak and passing showers will be observed towards locations on the north coast, such as: La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, among others.
However, during the afternoon, the humidity carried by the wind and the effects associated with the diurnal cycle will cause further increases in cloudiness that will leave isolated showers and thunderstorms until the early hours of the night, over provinces such as: San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, San Cristóbal, Azua, San Juan, Santiago Rodríguez, Elias Piña, El Gran Santo Domingo, among other areas. During the night, the wind will be in charge of maintaining the transport of cloudiness towards our area, which will continue to generate scattered showers in towns on the Atlantic coast.
In that sense, for tomorrow Friday, a front system that will be located over the central portion of Cuba, will begin to approach our area, generating some showers in the eastern portion of the Atlantic coast during the morning. In the afternoon, the effects associated with the diurnal cycle will also contribute to cloud cover increases accompanied by scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in towns in the northeast, southeast and Central Mountain Range regions, towards provinces such as: La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, San Cristóbal and El Gran Santo Domingo.
