Monsignor Nouel. – Within the framework of the commemoration of Depression Day, the Mental Health Department of the Provincial Health Directorate (DPS) Bonao, under the coordination of Public Health and the leadership of its director, doctor José Báez, held a day of dissemination and guidance in different health centers and communities of the municipality of Bonao. During the day, the Mental Health team visited several locations and primary care facilities, where educational actions were developed aimed at patients, health personnel, and community members, with the aim of raising awareness about depression, its symptoms, and the importance of seeking professional help in a timely manner. Dr. José Báez highlighted that these types of conferences are part of the DPS Bonao's permanent commitment to the integral health of the population, emphasizing that talking about mental health is fundamental to break stigmas and strengthen the emotional well-being of the community.
