Santo Domingo. - Authorities confirmed during a press conference that the Salcedo Carnival will indeed take place in 2026, this time with reinforced security protocols to ensure a more organized and safe event for all attendees.
This announcement takes on special meaning because the Salcedo carnival has not been held since 2024, when a tragic fire, which occurred on March 10, caused multiple deaths and injuries due to the manipulation of fireworks in the costumes.
After two years of mourning and reflection, the community prepares for a return with more responsibility and prevention.
