Berlin.— The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saw out the year 2025 with a message in which he reaffirmed his country's commitment to peace, despite the fact that the war caused by the Russian invasion is approaching its fourth year.
"We believe in peace, we fight for it and we work to achieve it," the president expressed in a message broadcast through his social networks, accompanied by a photograph with his wife, Olena Zelenska. Zelensky highlighted the effort and resistance of the Ukrainian forces against the military aggression initiated in February 2022 and took the opportunity to send a message of hope and wish the population a happy new year. The pronouncement came amid new attacks, after bombings were recorded in different areas of the country. In the port city of Odesa, several people were injured after an air strike, while Ukrainian defenses intercepted dozens of drones launched during the night, although some managed to hit different regions.
