Santo Domingo.- Agents from the Homicide Investigation Department, attached to the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), arrested a woman for her involvement in the death of taxi driver Wilmer Jagred Aquino Rojas, 32 years old, during a robbery that occurred on July 20 in the Villa Agrícolas sector, Distrito Nacional.
This is Marlyn Alfosyna Garabitos Díaz, alias “Michel” and/or “La Cherry”, who had arrest warrant No. 2025-AJ0048605 against her. She was located and arrested in the Los Molinas sector, San Cristóbal province, as a result of the follow-up and intelligence work carried out by the case investigators.

The preliminary report indicates that Aquino Rojas, who resided in the La Guáyiga sector, Santo Domingo Oeste, was fatally shot while providing a service as a taxi driver. Investigations indicate that the crime was perpetrated by four people who approached the victim with the intention of stripping him of his belongings, with Johansel Rafael Presinal, alias "El Seibo" and/or "El Sabio", 18 years old, being the main aggressor, who has already been brought to justice. Along with him, Darlin Méndez, alias "30-30", Manuel, alias "Redondo", both fugitives, and the now detained "La Cherry" participated. The National Police continues the search and capture efforts for the fugitives involved in this event, while urging these citizens to surrender through the means they deem appropriate, to answer to justice. The apprehended person will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
