(EFE).- The National Football League (NFL) announced on Tuesday that Tom Brady is prohibited from attending team practices, although it clarified that he is allowed to be in the coaches' box during Las Vegas Raiders games, a franchise of which he is a minority owner.

"Tom is still prohibited from going to the team's facilities for training or production meetings. There are no policies that prohibit an owner from sitting in the coaches' booth or wearing a headset during a game," the league wrote in a statement via its NFL Network channel. Tom Brady, considered the best player in NFL history, retired in 2023 after winning six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to become the player with the most championship rings of all time. In 2022, before his retirement, he signed a 10-year, $375 million contract to be Fox Sports' star analyst. Last year, Brady was approved by the owners of the 32 teams as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. The NFL warned of a possible conflict of interest for Tom Brady
Due to his work in television and as an executive, the league was concerned from the start about the conflict of interest that could arise from Brady, who is very close to several stars, having confidential and privileged information from the different teams. Last Monday, during the Chargers' 19-20 victory over the Raiders, several television shots showed Brady in a box at Allegiant Stadium, home of his team, with headphones on and immersed in the game plan alongside his franchise's coaches, a situation that sparked controversy and led the league to clarify what the former quarterback can and cannot do. "Brady was sitting in the booth in his capacity as a partner. All personnel who sit in the booth must comply with policies prohibiting the use of electronic devices other than those provided by the league," the statement explained. The writing also detailed how the future Hall of Famer can interact with the various NFL stars in his work for the television network. "Tom can attend production meetings remotely, but not in person. He can also interview a player off-site, as he did for the last Super Bowl. In addition, each team, coach or players are responsible for what they say in those sessions," the league pointed out. In week three of the season, the Raiders will visit the Washington Commanders next Sunday, a game for which Tom Brady is scheduled in the Fox Sports broadcast.
