They recognize Minister Franklin García Fermín for contributions to academic training and institutional professionalization

Santo Domingo. – The National Investigations Department (DNI) and the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) awarded recognitions to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, doctor Franklin García Fermín, during an academic event.

The Director General of the DNI, Luis Soto, highlighted the contribution of the official in the academic and professional training of that intelligence agency.

“With a deep sense of gratitude, we recognize today the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Doctor Franklin García Fermín, for his national and international academic management for the benefit of the DNI, in educational matters, with which he has shown himself to be a man of State and a full-time teacher,” states the text of the recognition.

Similarly, the DNCD, through its president, Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa, valued the support of MESCyT in the training of anti-drug agents through scholarships for higher studies in business areas in international institutions.

"We appreciate the support for the professionalization of our staff in strategic areas, which enhances operational competencies to preserve Dominican society," Cabrera Ulloa said when presenting the distinction.

Both recognitions highlight the career of Dr. García Fermín, characterized by his commitment to education, scientific research, and institutional strengthening.

With this tribute, the minister is distinguished not only as a State official, but as a full-time teacher, whose work has impacted generations and institutions both nationally and internationally.

After receiving the rations, Minister García Fermín said that education is the main key to serving and protecting the best interests of Dominican society.

"With this plaque and the scroll, it reaffirms our commitment to the present and future of the country, respect for human rights, and the work to eliminate the inequalities that affect men and women in our society," the official pointed out.
