Miches, El Seibo. – Deputy Rafael Aníbal Díaz Rodríguez described the inauguration of the Miches Tourist Dock as a key work for the economic and sustainable development of the area, highlighting that this infrastructure reflects the Government's vision of promoting tourism with planning, public investment and basic services.

Upon arriving at the event, the legislator pointed out that Miches represents a different model within the country's tourist destinations, emerging with a land use plan and strategic state investment. "Miches is a destination with the Dominican government's seal. Unlike other private ventures, here the State has laid the foundations with order, aqueduct, services and now a completely transformed pier," he expressed.

The deputy explained that the work, with an investment of RD$51.4 million, not only rescues the history of the old pier existing more than 50 years ago, but also modernizes it to strengthen fishing, maritime transport and nautical connectivity with other destinations in the East, such as La Romana and Cap Cana, creating an interconnected tourist circuit.

Finally, the legislator assured that the new Miches pier not only beautifies the coast, but also boosts economic activity, maritime mobility, and opportunities for local fishermen and entrepreneurs, consolidating Miches as one of the most promising emerging destinations in the Caribbean.
