Santo Domingo.- Rafael Martínez Hazim's defense assured that they have demonstrated that the defendant has no family ties with Santiago Hazim Albainy, a central figure in the so-called Operation Cobra, which involves the misappropriation of funds exceeding RD$15 billion pesos.

Balcacer pointed out that the Public Ministry "wanted to make a mountain of accusations", and clarified that Martínez Hazim "is not a doctor". The Public Ministry is requesting 18 months of preventive prison against those involved in the case and the knowledge of the coercion measure request will continue on Friday at 2 in the afternoon.
