Irene of Greece, sister of Queen Sofía, dies at 83 in Madrid

Princess Irene of Greece, sister of Queen Sofía, passed away this Thursday in Madrid at the age of 83, according to sources from the Royal House informed EFE.

The youngest daughter of the Hellenic kings Paul and Frederica of Greece, born in 1942 and residing in the Spanish capital with her sister, had health problems that had prevented her from attending in recent times the charity events in which her presence was usual.
