The communicator Georgina Duluc responded directly but elegantly to the comments of Karen Yapoort, who since last year has called herself "the new queen" of the Premios Soberano red carpet, a title that Duluc has held.
When asked if Yapoort represents her replacement on the red carpet, Georgina made it clear that she does not consider that there is such a substitution: “No, replacement, how? Replacement, no. I mean, that's a nickname that the public gave me out of affection. It wasn't something I invented or sought, I didn't even imagine it. So it will depend on the public to decide if there will be a new queen, if there will be a princess, if I will be the eternal queen, but as a replacement it is not a position either. We are not going to replace anyone”.

Duluc emphasized that the title of "queen of the carpet" was a distinction awarded by the public over the years and not an official position that can be transferred, as Karen has done, who proclaimed herself "queen". The reaction arises after Karen Yapoort posted on social media a video driving a sports vehicle accompanied by a message that for the public is an indirect message for Georgina. "There are those who were a chapter. Others of us are the new season." The text was accompanied by the hashtags #TheQueenOfTheCarpet and #RoadToTheSovereign, which many interpreted as an indirect reference to Georgina. Duluc's statements were offered during his walk on the magenta carpet of Premio Lo Nuestro 2026, in conversation with De Último Minuto, where he also shared the excitement of taking on the hosting of the award.
