Lomiiel assures that Abinader changed his life: “I thank Abinader for that computer he gave me”

The artist and music producer Lomiiel made an unexpected revelation during a conversation with Dotol Nastra that surprised more than one person. The interpreter of “Lupita” thanked the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, for giving him a computer a few years ago.

Lomiiel explained that he received a computer from the "Digital Republic" program, an initiative of policies and actions aimed at promoting the inclusion of information technologies. According to him, this resource allowed him to learn to produce his own music, something that ended up changing his life, since thanks to that opportunity he discovered a path of development within the music industry.

"I had a government computer that I thank Abinader for that digital republic he gave me, today I am who I am thanks to him," he said.

The artist also recounted that at that time he had a phone that he decided to sell to buy the necessary equipment and be able to connect it to the laptop. That decision, he affirmed, represented a great opportunity to start learning and developing as a music producer.

Lomiiel urged young people who want to get into music to look for tutorials on YouTube on how to make tracks and how to record themselves. He also recommended saving and investing at least 100 dollars in monitors or other basic equipment. He used his own testimony as an example to motivate other young people to identify with his story, remembering that he then had an iPhone 11, which he sold to buy a microphone and other equipment that he could connect to the computer that had been donated to him.

It should be noted that "Digital Republic" was an ambitious government program launched by Dominican President Danilo Medina (2012-2020) with the aim of promoting technological inclusion in the country. However, according to the artist himself, the computer he received was delivered during the administration of President Abinader, who continued to promote the project and expand it to more vulnerable and needy sectors.
