Abinader to opposition: "What I don't do is inaugurate hospitals without them being finished"

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader referred this Monday to the opposition's criticisms about the supposed deterioration of hospitals, pointing out that "that is the function of the opposition."

When asked about the situation, in LA Semanal, of hospitals, he said that the main hospitals were in total abandonment, specifying that his Government has intervened.

“What I don't do is inaugurate hospitals that aren't finished, nor any work that isn't finished,” the head of state highlighted. The leader assured that, despite the criticisms, the statistics support his words, emphasizing his commitment to the quality of public works. “The Mario Tolentino was abandoned, in a shell, and today it is the most modern in Santo Domingo (…) The Marcelino Vélez hospital, I don't know if they didn't want to continue it because another president had started it, the infrastructure, and we built the maternity ward,” he expressed.
