Santo Domingo.- The mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste, Francisco Peña, described the construction of Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro, which connects to the municipality of Los Alcarrizos, as an important step forward for urban and social development.
The work was put to the test this Wednesday with the presence of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader.

Peña highlighted that this Metro extension will directly impact about 5 million people who reside in the areas surrounding the five new stations that make up this line.During the test run, President Abinader pointed out that Line 2C represents a transformation in the urban mobility of Greater Santo Domingo, significantly reducing the travel time of citizens and improving their quality of life."This is a work that drives the development of the entire community of Santo Domingo Oeste, Los Alcarrizos and Pedro Brand. Hopefully they would make several more meters like this, because this is a country that is advancing," said the municipal official.
