Santo Domingo, D.R. – The Ministry of Defense of the Dominican Republic, under the leadership of Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, ERD., has made progress in terms of employability through the Employment Management Coordination Program, developed by the Retirement Board and Pension Fund of the Armed Forces (JRFPFFAA).

In recent months, more than 714 pensioners and direct family members have been placed in dignified and well-paid jobs in private companies, generating monthly incomes exceeding RD$40,000, in addition to their regular pensions. This opportunity has provided economic, emotional, and social stability to hundreds of households that today enjoy a safer and more prosperous environment.

The program was conceived in 2020 by the then-president of the JRFPFFAA and current Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Fernández Onofre, as a transformative vision of the State's role in the protection and post-service welfare of military personnel. Since then, the Retirement Board has established itself as a reliable link between the retired military community and the national productive sector.

The beneficiaries have been integrated into roles such as specialized technicians, administrative staff, electricians, plumbers, supervisors in security companies, and personal drivers, among others, in prominent national and international companies that continue to request profiles previously evaluated by the institution, reflecting the trust and prestige that the program has achieved.

This action is part of an institutional strategy of the Ministry of Defense aimed at recognizing the value of the service provided by members of the Armed Forces, facilitating their active reintegration into working life and guaranteeing them new opportunities for development and personal and family stability.
