The senator emphasized that the contribution was handled with complete transparency and is exclusively aimed at strengthening the preparation and participation of athletes with intellectual disabilities.

"This contribution is not a personal merit. These funds come from the taxes of Dominicans. Our responsibility is that every peso reaches the right hands and responds to a real need," he affirmed.

Fernández congratulated Special Olympics RD, its organizers, parents and families, and especially the athletes who represent the country with discipline and pride. "You work hard every day and represent the Dominican Republic inside and outside the country. I am deeply proud of you," he said. The senator also called on the population and institutions to choose to include, recalling that investment in dignity, equality, and opportunities transforms lives.
