Santo Domingo.- Dominican singer-songwriter Manny Cruz celebrated Mother's Day with a sold-out concert and a grand party, transforming his "2080" concert into a celebration at the Teatro La Fiesta of the Hotel Jaragua.
Turning the venue into an end-to-end experience, the show began with the presentation of singer-songwriter Paloma Richiez, who welcomed those present, preparing them to receive the six-time nominee for the Latin Grammy.
The show produced by Manny Cruz himself in conjunction with Focus Entertainment, under the musical direction of Antonio González and with Marcos Taveras as choreographer, featured the entire orchestra and dance troupe of the performer of “Santo Domingo”, who arrived on his motorcycle to the rhythm of “Hombre Divertido”, starting the first block of the night, dedicated to the 80s.
“La Dueña del swing”, “All Night Long”, and “Oye” achieved the excitement of the audience who began to dance and enjoy from the first single, the vast majority remaining standing and euphoric during the more than two hours of the concert.
“Thank you for being here celebrating our mothers with me, with songs that marked our history with such beautiful themes that have always been enjoyed by all. Grateful to all the performers who allowed me to pay tribute to them on the album and tonight at this concert, because thanks to them, today a Manny Cruz exists,” said the artist visibly moved before receiving Dioni Fernández to perform “Fiesta, fiesta”, who applauded the work Cruz is doing.
Between cartoons and choreographies, the celebration returned to 2025, giving way to Manny's hits such as “Sabes enamorarme”, “No me lo creo”, “Llegaste”, “Bailando contigo” and “Deja Vú”, subsequently, the most special moment of the night arrived when receiving Milagros, Manny's mother.
“He has always been a wonderful son. I am very proud to be his mother,” she said before performing “Sabor a mi” together.
Staying close to the public, it was not enough for him to approach the edge of the stage to greet the fans of all ages who made up the audience, Manny went down from the stage and went into the audience where he not only received hugs, but also signs from his youngest fans.
