Madrid.- The Argentine president, Javier Milei, stated this Sunday that the assassination of the ultra activist Charlie Kirk is "further proof" of what the left is "in its purest state": "hatred and resentment." Milei participated via videoconference in the grand political closing event of the 'Europa Viva 25' summit, held by the Spanish far-right party Vox this weekend. Although the organization had initially reported its attendance at the meeting in Madrid, the Argentine president had to cancel after the electoral setback suffered in the legislative elections in the province of Buenos Aires. "Today I had to be in my country defending with tooth and nail the achievements of this administration," he apologized to the thousands of attendees who filled the Vistalegre Palace in the Spanish capital. Milei focused his message on "the martyr of freedom, the beloved Charlie Kirk", murdered after being shot in the neck on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University, and whom he said he had met in person.

His assassination is "further proof of what the left is in its pure state: hatred and resentment," said the Argentine president, who assured that the "attack" was perpetrated by "the same ones who accuse us of being violent."

Thus, he stated that the left seeks to tell people what they have to think and, when they come across someone who says "no", they do everything possible to silence them: "Whether with discrediting campaigns or with a shot in the head as they did with Charlie or with Miguel Uribe in Colombia".

He emphasized that Kirk's murder "should not be a reason to give up in the cultural battle." "We fight for our lives and our customs, we are not afraid of them," he assured, adding that "if they attack us it is because we are doing well." "Long live Spain!, long live Argentina!, Long live Vox! and Long live freedom, damn it!", he exclaimed amidst the cheers of the public. Vox leader Santiago Abascal thanked Milei for his participation and conveyed his full support "in these moments in which many are coming together to try to harm you."
