White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, stated that the U.S. President, Donald Trump, has not seen any gesture from his Colombian counterpart, Gustavo Petro, whom he called "deranged", with the aim of de-escalating the tension generated in recent days between both countries, following the bombings by Washington in the Caribbean and the Pacific.
"I don't think we are seeing a de-escalation by the deranged leader of Colombia at this time, and frankly I don't think the president is interested in that at this time", said the official at a press conference.
