San Francisco de Macorís. – The Gigantes del Cibao announced the signing of first baseman Jake Holton, a player belonging to the Detroit Tigers organization, to join the team in the upcoming season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

Holton, 27 years old, is a right-handed batter who plays at first base and comes from an outstanding performance in the Double A category, where he was one of the most consistent figures of his team during the 2025 season. In his most recent campaign, the infielder recorded a batting average of .257, with 29 doubles, 19 home runs, 66 RBIs, an OPS of .828 and an OBP of .349, numbers that reflect his ability to get on base and produce in decisive moments. The Giants' new offensive reinforcement is distinguished by his power on both lines, his discipline at the plate, and his good defense at first base, attributes that make him a valuable addition to the Francomacorisano team. The president of operations of the Gigantes del Cibao, Lic.
