Santo Domingo. The Bulevar de las Estrellas Foundation announced that it will exalt baseball legend David Ortiz in an event scheduled for November 12, 2025.

The communicator Carlos Batista Matos, president of the foundation, highlighted that the great contributions made by Ortiz individually and jointly to the sports culture of the Dominican Republic were taken into account, representing the best of the identity both in the country and abroad. Ortiz will unveil his star during the event, which will take place on the avenue Winston Churchill corner Victor Garrido Puello, with the presence of personalities from the sports, musical and cultural fields. Ortiz is considered the best and most productive designated hitter in the history of Major League Baseball. He was inducted into the Cooperstown Hall of Fame in 2022. He was selected to ten All-Star Games (2004-08, 2010-13, and 2016). He won seven Silver Bats (2004-07, 2011, 2013, and 2016) and three World Series rings (2004, 2007, and 2013).
