Consuelo surpasses Miramar and conquers ninth crown in TBS San Pedro de Macorís history

SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS- The Todos Estrellas club of Consuelo defeated the Titanes de Miramar 79-74 this Wednesday to conquer the ninth crown in its history, in the fourth game of the final series of the 43rd Superior Basketball Tournament of San Pedro de Macorís (TBS-SPM 2025), and they won the BanReservas Cup.

The boys from Ingenio Consuelo achieved two consecutive victories to win 3-1 in the final round, which was agreed to the best of a 5-3, with all the matches being held at the Rolando Ramírez sports center, of the Tomasito Binet Sports Complex, of this city. In this way, the Todos Estrellas conquered their ninth champion crown in their entire history of participations in the TBS of the Sultana del Este and stopped a 15-year drought. The first championships, three in a row, were from 1997, 98 and 99, under the leadership of the native coach José Branche, who achieved four personally -fifth of Consuelo-, in 2007. In 2002, it was the fourth title of the All-Stars with the leadership of the capital coach Franklin Ogando (Querido), with a fifth in 2007 with Branche, and they obtained three more to reach eight under the command of the native coach of Consuelo Jochy Fulgencio in 2005, 2009 and 2010. The ninth Consuelo championship took place on Wednesday night, with another native coach, Rubén Abreu, as foreman, who raised the BanReservas Cup accompanied by pastor Fidel Castillo, president of the Todos Estrellas de Consuelo club, who celebrated with hundreds of supporters of the senior team, players, technical staff and club directors. Native Daylin Thomas was the top scorer for the All-Stars with 19 points and six rebounds, and for his merits in the final stage he was chosen as the Most Valuable Player. Dresly Richardson collaborated with 16 points and five caught balls, the district reinforcement Luis Feliz (La Mueca) scored 13 baskets, four catches and six assists, Frankely González 14 and Erick Paulino each contributed nine units, and Daniel Tyson contributed eight digits and grabbed eight rebounds for the winning team from Consuelo. On the other hand, district reinforcement Kevin Pérez scored 26 points, Edison Montilla added 19 more points plus seven rebounds, Misael Saunders achieved a double-double of 12 digits with 17 captured balls, and Reinny Faustino contributed 11 points and six rebounds, for the Titans of Miramar.

The 2025 championship of the Sultana del Este had the BanReservas Cup as an option, which was jointly presented by Fausto Paulino, president of the Basketball Association of San Pedro de Macorís (Abasapema); Pedro Vázquez, president of the Organizing Committee; Carlos Dijol, treasurer; and Provincial Governor Yovanis Baltazar.

The game was dedicated to former player Ambioris Tejada and In Memoriam to Ramón Pérez Tolentino. Consuelo only lost one game in the entire TBS SPM season, achieving a 5-0 in the regular season, swept the A semifinal 2-0 against the Centro club and three victories in the final stage for an overall record of 10-1. The only defeat was against Miramar, in the second final game.
