Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL) held the first edition of the Student Merit Award in STEM Disciplines, which will impact 500 scholarships to students from public schools in different vulnerable communities in the country. Award-winning students will receive a STEM training scholarship, with access to high-level training platforms in areas such as programming, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analysis, robotics, and key soft skills for the working world. The president of the Board of Directors of INDOTEL, Guido Gómez Mazara, highlighted that the preparation that these young people will have access to through these scholarships will serve them to be able to enter a labor market that demands more and more training every day.You can also read: MESCyT grants 664 international postgraduate scholarships
He highlighted that for INDOTEL, promoting STEM scholarships constitutes more than a responsibility, a duty to Dominican youth, who are called upon to make the changes and transformations that the country needs and that can no longer wait.“Estamos en una era, en una época donde la preparación y las herramientas tecnológicas son fundamentales para triunfar, para progresar, para poder insertarse en el mercado laboral.
