The streaming platform Disney+ is preparing a new live-action series centered on Tinkerbell, the iconic character from the Peter Pan universe. The production will be titled “Tink” and will seek to offer a new vision of the popular fairy within the service's catalog.
The project will be developed by screenwriters and producers Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter, recognized for their work in various television productions. In addition, former Disney executive Gary Marsh will participate as executive producer along with Quinn Haberman, representing the production company Selfish Mermaid.
Although details about the plot and cast have not yet been revealed, the series is part of Disney's efforts to expand its classics in live-action format for television and streaming.
Tinkerbell, created by the writer J. M. Barrie in the early twentieth century, became one of Disney's most recognizable characters after her appearance in the animated film Peter Pan of 1953 and in numerous subsequent productions.
With “Tink”, Disney+ seeks to offer a new perspective on the famous character and continue exploring the world of Neverland for new generations of viewers.
