Santiago.- The Northern Electricity Distribution Company (EDENORTE Dominicana) will execute between this Wednesday, January 14th and Thursday, January 15th, a scheduled preventive maintenance scheme in several substations in its concession area, with the aim of strengthening the stability, security and reliability of the electrical system in the Northern region of the country.
The works will impact substations that supply energy to municipalities in the provinces of Hermanas Mirabal, Santiago and Monseñor Nouel, as part of the permanent technical plan that the company is developing to reduce operational risks and optimize the performance of electrical equipment.
For Wednesday, January 14, work is scheduled in substations that supply sectors of the municipality of Salcedo, in Hermanas Mirabal province, as well as in Villa González, in Santiago, and areas of La Vega, including circuits that supply urban, rural areas and communities with high productive and residential activity.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, January 15, specialized brigades from the Distribution Department and the Substations Management will continue general maintenance at the Maimón substation, located in the municipality of Bonao, Monseñor Nouel province. These works will affect the circuits MAIM401, MAIM402, MAIM403 and MAIM404, which supply energy to the urban area and surrounding sectors, including communities near the Hato Viejo highway.
