Santiago.- Family, friends, and community members of the young Joel Infante, 18 years old, missing for several days after being involved in a motorcycle accident on the Circunvalación Norte, near the Tamboril free zone, appeared this Monday at the Palace of Justice of Santiago to demand that the authorities expedite the investigations and help find his whereabouts. Led by the young man's father, Harlin José Castro, the protesters set up a picket line in front of the Prosecutor's Office, where they called for the intervention of the judicial bodies and the Public Ministry in the face of what they describe as a "mysterious" disappearance full of questions. They claim that, despite the days that have passed, "they have not received a concrete response" from the authorities. It should be noted that Joel left on the day of his disappearance around 9:00 at night accompanied by two friends to buy dinner, but then they were joined by two other young people and later moved towards the games of La Sillita, from where they continued their journey towards the North Ring Road, the place where the accident occurred and after which nothing more was known about him. The family members decided to hold this peaceful demonstration due to the lack of official information. So far, the authorities have not issued a report on the case, while two of the young people who were with Joel remain in custody for investigation purposes. The search for the missing young man remains active, while the family insists that they will not rest until they get clear answers about what happened.
