Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (Indomet) reported that a reduction in rainfall is expected this weekend compared to previous days, although the influence of a frontal system located over the Windward Passage will still persist, which will continue to provide conditions for occasional rainfall, especially in the afternoon.
Forecaster José Medina explained that this Saturday, during the afternoon and early evening hours, rains could be recorded towards eastern provinces such as La Altagracia, El Seibo, San Pedro de Macorís and La Romana, as well as in sectors of Gran Santo Domingo, with episodes that could extend until the early hours of the night.
For Sunday, due to the humidity carried by the wind, isolated and weak rains are forecast, mainly in locations of Monte Plata, Hato Mayor and the Central Mountain Range, although it was clarified that significant accumulations are not expected.

Faced with this decrease in risk, Indomet reported that it is discontinuing the weather alerts that were in effect for possible floods. In addition, it indicated that the temperatures will remain pleasant, especially at night and early morning, thanks to the time of year and the east/northeast wind that predominates over the national territory.
