Patrol boats of the Israeli Navy opened fire this Tuesday on Palestinian fishing boats near the port of Gaza City, the head of the Fishermen's Committees, Zakaria Bakr, told EFE.
Bakr stated that, after the incident - in which the Army attacked the boats with "machine guns a few meters from the coast" -, three fishermen, Khaled Yousef Shamlah, Hassan Jamal Al-Nu'man and Mahmoud Saeed Al-Saeedi, were arrested and "taken to an unknown place". According to the media office of the Hamas-controlled Gaza government, since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, Israel has violated the agreement 393 times, killed 279 Gazans, and injured more than 652, in addition to "arbitrarily" detaining 35 Palestinian citizens during incursions and raids.
