Santo Domingo. - Eight months after the departure of her daughter Alexandra, victim of the Jet Set tragedy, Melba Grullón remembers her and expresses through social media that this 2025 "shouldn't have been" for her.
Through her Instagram account, Melba left a sad message: "December is a time of abundance of blessings, as our Lord is happy for the birth of his son Jesus every year. I am prepared in body and spirit for his will," she said.
On the other hand, on behalf of hundreds who, like Melba, remember Alexandra, and explained: "Blessings were what I received when I saw the faces of the first students receiving their scholarships to continue their university careers thanks to the ALE scholarships. @fondoalerd. Touching lives as the apple of my eye did and will always do. Thanks to UNIBE @unibeenlinea, for the presentation of the scholarship recipients and thanks to all the other universities that have opened their doors to us in this purpose," she stated.
Added: "We are approaching the end of 2025, the year that for me should never have been. The year I learned the language of pain that does not abandon me. In the last eight months I have known its claws in my heart, its heaviness, which is emptiness at the same time, its smell, its taste, its silence at dawn and during the long sleepless nights.
