The National Association of Private Clinics (ANDECLIP) and the CONCORDIUM platform signed an agreement for strategic and legal services, marking a milestone in the institutional defense of the private health sector in the Dominican Republic.
The agreement's main objective is to strengthen the sustainability and defense of the sector, through comprehensive assistance in multiple dimensions: legal, technical, institutional, and communication.
This alliance seeks to support private clinics in the face of factors that, for some time, have been causing concern in the sector, such as regulatory pressures, financial tensions, and changes in the social environment that affect their operational capacity.
CONCORDIUM, conceived as a high-level space for the management of complex conflicts in the public and private sectors, is an initiative of Díaz Trueba Abogados, with the support of the renowned jurist Eduardo Trueba and Milton Ray Guevara, former president of the Constitutional Court.
In a first phase, the agreement contemplates the gathering of technical and legal information, the elaboration of a sectoral diagnosis, and the drafting of regulatory proposals. Subsequently, institutional advocacy actions will be carried out before regulatory bodies, the National Congress, and the Executive Branch.
One of the most innovative components is the creation of a permanent technical table that will allow for the monitoring of the necessary reforms and build consensus around the structural changes to the health and social security system.
In a context of high media exposure and growing reputational wear and tear of the private health sector, the agreement includes the formulation of a comprehensive communication strategy, which ranges from the design of key messages to crisis management, including the training of spokespersons and the visibility of ANDECLIP's contribution to the public health system.
A step towards system transformation
The president of ANDECLIP, Rafael Mena, stated that this agreement represents a clear and articulated roadmap for the defense of the sector's interests and its institutional strengthening. For their part, Rosalina Trueba and Luz Díaz, representatives of CONCORDIUM, expressed that this alliance is consistent with the mission of influencing profound transformations through concertation, legal technique, and institutional legitimacy.
