The war between Israel, the United States, and Iran continues to intensify with new bombings and military attacks in various parts of the Middle East, in what is already considered one of the biggest recent geopolitical crises.
During the most recent day of the conflict, Israeli fighter jets launched
a new wave of attacks against infrastructure of the Iranian regime in Tehran, capital of Iran. According to military reports, the bombings were carried out as part of the joint offensive with the United States against strategic targets of the Iranian military program.
Among the targeted objectives are military and energy facilities, as well as reports of fires in areas near the
Mehrabad International Airport following the bombings. Israeli authorities indicated that dozens of combat aircraft participated in the operation.
Iran's Response
In response to the offensive, Iran launched
missiles and drone attacks against Israeli territory and against U.S. military bases in the region, including facilities in allied Gulf countries.
Air raid sirens were activated in several Israeli cities, as defense systems attempted to intercept the projectiles. The exchange of attacks has raised the risk of the conflict spreading to other Middle Eastern countries.
Regional Climbing
The conflict has also led to attacks and military operations in neighboring countries such as Lebanon, where Israel has carried out bombings against positions of the Hezbollah group, an ally of Iran.
The military offensive intensified following the start of a joint campaign by Washington and Tel Aviv against Iranian strategic facilities, which triggered reprisals from Tehran and growing international tension.
International Situation
The crisis has generated global concern due to the risk of a large-scale regional war. Various governments and international organizations have called for de-escalation of military actions and the pursuit of a diplomatic solution to avoid a wider conflict.
