Santo Domingo. - One of those indicated in the death of José Manuel Maceo Sánchez in Hato Nuevo, Los Alcarrizos, voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. Miguel Felipe was taken by his family and received by General Edward Escalante, who guaranteed his physical integrity and respect for due process.
During his surrender, the young man denied having fired the shot and claimed to be a friend of the deceased, assuring that he himself was surprised by the incident. He also offered his version of events to the investigations.
General Escalante urged the other people involved to surrender through the appropriate channels to continue the investigations and clarify the case.
