The deputy spokesman for the German government, Sebastian Hille, said this Monday, after celebrating the efforts of US President Donald Trump to bring peace to Ukraine, that it is clear that ultimately it depends on Russia to end the war.
"The diplomatic dynamics continue as already seen in the meeting in Berlin. We celebrate President Trump's efforts. But one thing is clear: it is up to Moscow to end the war," Hille said at the usual press conference of spokespersons.
Hille also said that a contrast had to be noted between an alleged will for peace by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his public statements and, above all, the attacks against Ukraine in the coming weeks.

Regarding the peace plan, Hille said that the decisive factors are the territorial issues as well as the security guarantees that will have to be further negotiated in the coming weeks.
