Weak trough will cause nighttime precipitation in much of the country

Santo Domingo. — The forecaster Heriberto Fabián, from the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), reported that the weather conditions will be influenced by a weak trough associated with the wind, which will cause showers in different areas of the country.

In that sense, he specified that the atmospheric phenomenon mainly affects the provinces of the northeast, southeast and the northern part of the national territory.

He detailed that since the afternoon of this Wednesday, rainfall has been recorded in Santo Domingo, the Central Mountain Range, as well as in some sectors of the border area and the southern region.

According to the forecast, these rains could extend until the early hours of the night.

Regarding the sea state, Indomet issued recommendations to operators of fragile and small vessels to remain in port on both coasts of the country, due to abnormal winds and waves.

The agency indicated that the temperatures will continue to be hot during the day. However, at night, early morning and early in the morning, the environment will be cooler and more pleasant, especially in mountainous areas and inland valleys.
