Dominicans shine in 2025 All-Star Game voting; Judge and Ohtani secure starting spots

Atlanta, USA — With more than 10.9 million votes cast, the first phase of voting for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game has concluded, and Dominican players shone again on the ballot, with several of their most outstanding representatives advancing to Phase 2, while Aaron Judge (Yankees) and Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers) were the most voted in their respective leagues, ensuring their automatic starting position for the July 15 game at Truist Park in Atlanta.

  • Aaron Judge, Yankees outfielder: 🗳️ 4,012,983 votes (MLB high)
  • Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers designated hitter: 🗳️ 3,967,668 votes
Judge and Ohtani, both with 28 home runs so far, lead the offensive lists of their leagues and were awarded a direct classification to the All-Star Game as starters.

The Cleveland star obtained 2,777,085 votes, competing for his fourth starting position. He bats for .318, with 13 HR, 38 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases. He is one of the most complete players in MLB and a favorite of the Dominican fans.

Ketel MarteSecond baseman, D-backs
With 2,534,002 votes, the Arizona infielder has been on a tear since coming off the injured list. His offensive line of .308/.408/.616 positions him as one of the hottest in the National League.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.First base, Blue Jays
With a solid season (.282 AVG, 11 HR), Vlad Jr. continues to be a prominent figure and advances as a finalist at first base in the American League.

The Phase 2 of the voting will be held from Monday, June 30 to Wednesday, July 2, exclusively online through MLB.com/vote and the official apps. The votes from Phase 1 are not carried over, so all players start from scratch. The winners will be announced on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
