MINERD rises to number 10 in Institutional Performance Evaluation

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (MINERD) ranked tenth out of 45 institutions evaluated in the most recent measurement of the Institutional Performance Evaluation (EDI) corresponding to the second quarter of 2025, rising from the 21st position it held in the previous evaluation. The achievement, as reported by the institution, reflects the progress of the education system in optimizing processes, strengthening work teams, and consolidating cross-cutting policies, highlighting that "serving well is also measured." EDI is a tool that seeks to promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in public management, linking institutional evaluation with labor and strengthening principles such as inter-institutional coordination, ethics, strategic planning, and the use of information and communication technologies. You can read: Dominican Republic presents progress in the fight against corruption before the UN Among the indicators evaluated are purchasing processes, budget, risks, human rights, Public Administration Monitoring System (SISMAP), non-profit associations (ASFL) and community participation, among others, aimed at creating a more direct approach with the citizenry. The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, highlighted that the result reaffirms the commitment of the MINERD with excellence in public management and the generation of public value through continuous improvement.
