Announce National Élite Boxing Tournament; Franklin De la Mota, sworn in president of the Organizing Committee

Santo Domingo. The Dominican Federation of Amateur Boxing (Fedoboxa) announced the celebration of the 40th edition of the National Elite Tournament and swore in the Vice Minister of Sports, Franklin De la Mota, as president of the Organizing Committee.

The event, which will bring together the best fighters in the country, including members of the national team, will be held from November 13 to 15 next at the Fidel Mejía sports center in the municipality of Sabana Grande de Boyá, Monte Plata province. Rubén García, president of Fedoboxa, who was accompanied by the Ad Vitam president of that institution, engineer Bienvenido Solano, explained that representatives from the six zones into which the Dominican Republic has been divided for sporting purposes will compete in the event.
"For the celebration of the tournament, we first held the corresponding qualifiers until selecting the representatives from the North, South, East, Santo Domingo Province, National District and the hosts of Monte Plata, led by Sabana Grande de Boyá," stated the president of the entity that governs boxing in the country. CO Sworn In Rubén García made the announcement about the celebration of the Elite National Boxing Tournament within the framework of an event held at the Fedoboxa offices, where he swore in the Organizing Committee headed by the Vice Minister Franklin de la Mota. Also sworn in were the deputy for the province of Monte Plata, Jhon Contreras, who is part of the Sports Commission of the Chamber of Deputies; the renowned national sports leader Fausto Severino, the journalist Primitivo Cadete, president of the Monte Plata Boxing Association; the businessman Carlos Silié, the former deputy Carmen Leyda Mora, as well as the athletes Ángel Contreras, Humberto Vichez, Bienvenido Castillo and Danny Suarez. De la Mota was pleased to once again preside over the organizers of the elite boxing tournament, given the quality and work capacity of the men and women who make up that team. He recalled that Sábana Grande de Boya has become the capital of amateur boxing in the country, which, along with the usual integration of its municipalities, the support of the public and the quality of the participating athletes, allows predicting the successful celebration of the National Elite Boxing Tournament.
