The Public Ministry attributes to the man having murdered, mutilated, burned, and concealed the body of his partner after he contacted the victim by phone while she was at her mother's residence. The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of San Cristóbal postponed the hearing until October 16, 2025, starting at 9:00 in the morning, in order to give the defendant time to find a defense attorney. Through a statement, the Public Ministry reported that it has been established during the investigation that, around 9:00 in the morning of October 5th, Melenciano Tejada left his mother's residence towards the house he shared with his partner in the Canastica community, of San Cristóbal, without, as of the filing of the complaint, on October 7th, his whereabouts being known. The request for coercive measures details that portions of a person's body, bone fragments, portions of the pelvis, spine, lumbar back, upper third of both thighs, fragments of the skull and part of long bones, were found burned in the aforementioned lot with an approximate time of death of 3 to 5 days. A search warrant was executed at the defendant's house, and an iron bar and a machete approximately 14 inches long were found in the residence's yard. The Public Ministry requested the Forensic Serology Department of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) to perform a forensic DNA test on the mutilated and carbonized remains found to compare it with that of the victim's mother in order to ascertain whether they are genetically matching, as well as the samples of stains, presumably blood, that were collected using luminol reagent at the residence of the accused to perform the serology expertise. The Public Ministry indicated that the accused Rodolfo Antonio Ramírez Ramírez has a repeated conduct in the commission of criminal offenses, by virtue of the fact that the aforementioned court on August 5, 2025, imposed a coercive measure on him, consisting of financial guarantee and periodic presentation for violating articles 309-2 of the Penal Code and 396, letters A and B, of the Code for the Protection and Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents (Law 136-03), committed to the detriment of a former partner and a minor, for whom a protection order was issued. The Public Ministry said it has sufficient evidence linking Ramírez to the death of Melenciano Tejeda.
