Joe Biden finishes his radiation therapy against cancer

Washington.- Former US President Joe Biden completed his radiotherapy treatment for prostate cancer this Monday, which he has been suffering from since 2023. Biden, 82, rang a bell inside the Penn Medicine medical center in Pennsylvania after his latest session, according to a video posted on Instagram by his daughter Ashley Biden. The daughter of the former Democratic leader thanked the doctors and nurses for the care her father has received during his current treatment. A Biden spokesperson told ABC News that there is no clarity at the moment about the possibility that the former head of state needs to continue with radiotherapy.

Biden's prostate cancer was detected during a routine checkup and, according to his medical team, it was a localized and slow-growing tumor. At that time, the former president's doctors indicated that the prognosis was positive and that no signs of metastasis had been detected.
