Mía Lugo conquers three Pan American bronze medals representing the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, R.D. — Dominican gymnast Mia Lugo, athlete of the Naco Sports Club and member of the Elite Project of the Dominican Gymnastics Federation, achieved an outstanding participation by winning three bronze medals in the 2025 Pan American Infantil and Youth Artistic Gymnastics Cup, held from November 4 to 6 in El Salvador.

Lugo, 14 years old, climbed the podium in the jump, uneven bars and floor routine modalities, competing in the FIG Junior category, where he demonstrated a notable technical mastery, sports maturity and international projection.

The competition brought together gymnasts from 12 countries, including Venezuela, Colombia, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, Trinidad & Tobago, Cayman Islands, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.

Her coach, Yoandris Tamayo, highlighted the focus, discipline, and sustained progress of the young athlete, who comes from having an outstanding participation in the Junior Pan American Games held in Asuncion, Paraguay.

Lugo is a student at the Serafín de Asís School and began his training at the Gymnastics School of the Naco Sports Club, where from the age of seven he showed exceptional qualities for the sport.

The results of the athlete Manuela consolidate the progress of Dominican artistic gymnastics and reflect the commitment of the technical staff, the Dominican Gymnastics Federation and the talent of the 14-year-old gymnast, who continues to position herself as one of the brightest promises in the country.
