Santo Domingo.- Community member Génesis Rosso was selected as a Provincial Finalist for the 2026 National Youth Award (PNJ 2026) in the category “Voluntary Social Services for the Community”, a distinction that recognizes her career in the development of social initiatives with a high community impact.
The Ministry of Youth, through the Provincial Youth Directorate, announced the selection after evaluating their history of volunteer work, community projects, civic education, and contributions to the social well-being of young people and families in different communities across the country.
Rosso, a Corporate Communications professional with a master's degree in Government and Public Administration, leads Rosso Comunicaciones S.R.L., from where he coordinates educational workshops, social support programs, sports activities, awareness campaigns, and projects aimed at strengthening the community.
Her work includes contributions made during her participation in the Youth Volunteer Program of the Chamber of Deputies, as well as multiple independent initiatives that have benefited communities at the local and regional level. Her social leadership has positioned her as one of the most active young people in terms of service, participation, and civic responsibility.
"I receive this distinction as a boost to continue working for the communities of my beloved Santo Domingo Norte. Community service has been and will continue to be an essential part of my social commitment."
The 2026 National Youth Award will hold its official ceremony in January, where young people who have demonstrated excellence, impact, and a vocation for service in different areas will be recognized.
