JCE begins the calibration process of machines that will print the new identity card

Santo Domingo.- The Central Electoral Board (JCE) initiated this Wednesday the calibration and personalization process of the first laser-burned machines that arrived at the institution, in preparation for the renewal of the identity card and identity and electoral card. The president of the JCE, Román Andrés Jáquez Liranzo, accompanied by the titular members Dolores Altagracia Fernández Sánchez, Samir Rafael Chami Isa, Hirayda Marcelle Fernández Guzmán and Rafael Armando Vallejo Santelises, as well as the director of Cedulación, Américo Rodríguez, and the director of Communications, Suedi León Jiménez, listened to the explanations of the institution's technical staff.

The JCE said in a note that the members of the Plenary received the proper guidance and explanations from the initial configuration process of the machines by the technical staff, who stated that, in addition to these initialization calibrations to the printers, the JCE staff is also being trained so that this can be replicated in the different identification centers. Calibration is the process in which machines are made ready to be used. Among the features of the CLP60 printer, it is noted that these machines consist of a digitization team, a laser that does all the engraving, a team to verify the data that will be printed on the polycarbonate card, among other elements that consolidate the strength of the final product.
