Puerto Plata.- Six days after the disappearance of the three-year-old girl Brianna Genao Rosario, in the community of Barrero, Imbert municipality, the anguish and uncertainty continue to take hold of the residents, who demand that the authorities expand the search radius and deploy greater mobility in the operations, given the lack of concrete results.

Francisco Cabrera, a neighbor in the area, expressed that the situation keeps not only the minor's family in suspense, but also the entire community, which from the first moment actively integrated into the search efforts. According to his account, the fear that night would fall without finding the girl's whereabouts motivated an immediate reaction from the community members.

“This affects everyone. We went out to look for her right away because it was getting late and the girl could scream at any moment. Night was falling and she wasn't showing up,” Cabrera stated, visibly distraught.

The resident pointed out that, despite the initial effort and the passing of days, the authorities have concentrated the search in the same perimeter, without informing the community about relevant findings, which has increased collective concern. In his opinion, it is urgent that the operations be extended to other nearby areas. "They keep looking in the same place. One understands that they should move more, do the same thing that was done here, but in other places," he maintained. Cabrera also highlighted the atmosphere of solidarity that prevails in Barrero, describing it as a united community sensitive to the situation. "This is very sad, it makes you want to cry. Here we are not a bad community, here we all love each other. We must take care of the children," she said. He maintained that, upon noticing that minutes were passing without news of the minor, the residents themselves organized to search homes and yards, in the desperation that night would fall without results. "They said they would arrive in 15 minutes and they didn't. So we all got up to search quickly, because night could fall and she wouldn't appear," he added. Meanwhile, official operations continue, the community reiterates its call to the authorities to reinforce the search, expand the radius of action and maintain constant communication with family members and residents, who remain waiting for an answer that will allow peace to be restored to Barrero.
