La Romana.- Agents of the National Police followed a criminal who, according to the authorities, participated in a robbery at a Shell gas station in La Romana, where two people were injured.
During the operation, the alleged antisocial was shot dead after exchanging gunfire with the uniformed officers in the vicinity of the Villa Nazaret sector.
The incident left Eduardo Mercedes, 46, injured, who received gunshot wounds to both shoulders when he was robbed of his motorcycle. The station's security guard, Agustín Rivera Girón, was also injured, with wounds to both legs.

According to police information, the deceased, identified as Tommy Berroa, was carrying a 9 mm Glock pistol and was hit by officers while attempting to enter a residence near the crime scene. As part of the investigation, the authorities arrested a 15-year-old teenager, who confessed her participation in the robbery and confirmed that Berroa, her sentimental partner, was one of those involved. Another subject involved managed to escape and is actively sought by the authorities.
