Santo Domingo. - Possessing unparalleled musical and interpretative versatility, Shadow Blow -José Ariel Fernández Soto- is considered by broad sectors of the entertainment industry as the most complete urban artist in the Dominican Republic, thanks to his academic training at the National Conservatory of Music, his skill as a producer, and his impeccable vocal ability.
The debate arose during his performance on The Reality Show of El Show del Mediodía, hosted by the renowned communicator and producer Iván Ruiz, when Shadow's skills were compared to those of exponents like El Alfa. Although both were recognized for their impact on urban music, it was highlighted that the interpreter of “Oh oh” and “Direct Message”, being a musician by profession, has a more complete training. You may be interested in: Shadow Blow considers El Alfa overrated as an artist
In the program, the star of the company 212 Music performed live the song “Debes buscarte un nuevo amor” (You must find yourself a new love), released in 2001 by the Ecuadorian band Tranzas, receiving praise from Ruiz and the panel of communicators for the sensitivity and technique shown. “You should take up that song again, because it is successful. More than the voice, it is the feeling you put into it,” Ruiz told him. The artist recalled his participation in the second season of La Casa de Alofoke 2, where he composed 18 songs in 38 days. "It was a challenge, because it was a totally inappropriate environment to record music, full of distractions. But I set out to do it and I achieved it," he commented. He also thanked the entire team of La Casa de Alofoke 2, to "Santiago Matías, Melvin, David and the entire production, and especially to my colleagues for everything." Regarding his creative process, he explained that he prefers to write songs that people can identify with, beyond personal experiences. "It has worked for me to sing things that other people may be going through." During the interview, the singer-songwriter and producer stated that he would not make songs dedicated to God just to attract a Christian audience, assuring that he would only do so if it truly came from his heart. “The day I do it has to truly come from within. I wouldn't do it to reach people or an audience. I don't want to do it so that people believe; I must feel it in my heart,” he said during his participation this Wednesday in El Show del Mediodía: La Telerrealidad, where he spoke about his career and his upcoming concert on December 20 at the Gran Arena del Cibao. For his anticipated show "Capítulos" in Santiago de los Caballeros, he announced that he is preparing a journey through the most important moments of his career, "success after success". Tickets are available at TodoTickets and Plaza Lama branches, and are already sold out. However, the production reduced the size of the stage to enable more space due to the massive demand from the public.
